His Work in Progress. "To start, the easel and standing mirror (which is propped up against the wall on one side) should be as close together as possible for easy comparison. If they can both be perpendicular to the floor that is best to mitigate any distortion. I have taped off the ground to mark the exact position where the mirror and bench are so I have a consistent setup everyday. A north facing window is best as you will receive consistent lighting throughout the day. Mine is north west so I only have the morning before direct sunlight hits. The last thing you need is to control the lighting. I have a large window so I’ve done my best to block out any ambient light but I am waiting on blackout curtains to arrive. I have left small window of light at the top which hits my face. You may need a small clip light on your drawing to help you see."
